RULES AND POLICIES

1. Business hours

1.1 Monday to Friday, from 8am to 11:30pm.

1.2 Saturday from 6pm to 00:30am.

1.3 Sunday, to be decided by the Board of Directors.

1.4 The Board of Directors has the authority to change the business hours.


2. Services offered monday to thursday and friday (noon)

2.1 Breakfast on reservation in the private reception rooms, from 7:30am to 9:30am.

2.2 Lunch is served in the Dining Room and private reception rooms, from 12:15pm to 2pm.

2.3 Lunch in the Garden from 12:15pm to 2pm, weather permitting.

2.4 Lunch trays served from 12:15pm to 2pm in the « Canadian », « Bridge », « Wheelhouse », and « Gérard D. Lévesque » lounge rooms.

2.5 Dinner, in the Dining Room and private reception rooms, from 6:15pm to 9pm. Guest must be at the table by 8:30pm for full service.


3. Services offered friday and saturday evenings

3.1 Dinner in the Dining room and private reception rooms, from 6:15pm to 10pm. Guests must be at the table by 9pm for full service.

3.2 Bar service from 6pm to 00:30am.

EXTENDED BAR SERVICE HOURS

3.1.A A member and/or spouse who wishes extended Bar service hours, must make arrangements with the hostess or the maitre d'hotel on duty and agree in writing to reimburse each employee, at an hourly rate of 12,00$ or any other applicable rate or charges as determined from time to time by the Board of Directors.


4. Club admittance

4.1 Children twelve (12) and under are permitted in the private reception rooms only.

4.2 Children twelve (12) and under will however be permitted in the Dining room and the garden for special occasions when authorized by the Board of Directors (children accompanied by their parents are permitted at Brunchs without the sanction of the Board of Directors).


5. Dress code

5.1 All people having access to the Club must be suitable attired. Men must wear jacket and tie; military personnel wear their uniform as required. Women must be suitably dressed : jeans, bermudas, sport ensembles and leggins are not permitted.

5.2 Snooker players are permitted to remove their jackets while playing only.

5.3 Any member violating the Club's Dress Code will receive from the President a notice to abide by said Code. Further breach will result in posting of the member's name.


6. Invoices

6.1 Members are responsible for their outstanding accounts as well as those of their spouse and any activities he or she has sponsored.

6.2 Invoices include the annual membership dues.

6.3 Members whose accounts are outstanding will have their names posted as well as all their rights and privileges suspended.


7. Personnel

7.1 Complaints concerning staff or services must be forwarded to one of the members of the Board of Directors. At no time will a member reprimand an employee.


8. Porters responsibilities

8.1 The Porter shall convey any correspondence or messages to members. He has the authority to restrict the presence of any non-member.

8.2 He must call to order any member or guest in violation of the Club's Rules and report repeated offences to the Board of Directors.

8.3 Attaché case must be left with the Porter. However documents and attaché cases may be taken to the private reception rooms.


9. Club members and guests responsibilities

9.1 The Club cannot be held responsible for stolen articles or any loss by members or guests.

9.2 Members and their guests are responsible for any damages caused to the Club property, unless otherwise decided by the Board of Directors.

9.3 No newspaper, book or other object belonging to the Club will be loaned, borrowed, annotated or otherwise altered.

9.4 No notice or publicizing shall be executed without prior consent of the Board of Directors.


10. Private reception rooms

10.1 Members can reserve one or more private reception rooms.

10.2 Reservations can also be taken for the main Dining Room, Garden, Bar Terrace Room, Presidents, Victoria-Cross and University Room.

10.3 Rental charge will be predetermined by the Board of Directors.


11. Parking

11.1 Private parking is restricted to members and their guests present at the Club.


12. Application

12.1 Any person eighteen (18) years old or over is permitted to become a member of the Québec Garrison Club by filling out the application form.

12.2 All applications must be proposed and supported by two (2) active members.

12.3 All applications duly completed must be submitted to the Board of Directors who shall authorize its posting, subject to the following rules.

12.4 The Board of Directors with the majority of its members can withold, for a period of no more sixty (60) days, its decision to post said application.

12.5 The Secretary shall inform the candidate by written notice of the Board of Directors's decision concerning his/her application; a copy the regulations will thus be forwarded.

Regulations adopted by the Board of Directors of the Garrison Club Inc. at their meeting held on June 4th, 1984, as amended on October 9th, 1984, May11th and October 12th, 1993.
